We appreciate your interest in Parallel Visual Explorer for AIX (PVE). PVE is available for the IBM RISC/6000 platform with AIX 3.2.5 or later and Motif 1.2. It requires a color monitor connected to a color graphics adapter (special graphics adapters are not needed) and a 3-button mouse. To try a demo version of PVE on AIX, please ftp the file "pve_demo" and then run it by typing "pve_demo" in the command prompt. This file is quite small (about 0.9 megs). The demo version has the full functionality of PVE with the exception of loading data and state files. We have selected a real money market data file for the demo. For a detailed description of how to use the demo program "pve_demo", please ftp the file "pve_ftp.ps.Z". After decompressing, you need about 52megs of disk space for the PostScript file "pve_ftp.ps". This file provides a detailed description (with pictures) of how to recreate the scenarios described in "pve_scenario.ps". A 32-bit Windows demo version of PVE is now available! Please download the self extracting file "pve_win32" and "pve_win32.readme" (for instructions on the installation). This version will run on Windows NT, Windows95, Win 3.1 and OS/2 Warp (with WIN32S support). A minimum of 16megs of memory and a high resolution graphics card is recommended. For general information about the product and some of the application areas where it can be used effectively, please download the files "pve_info.ps" and "pve_app.ps" respectively. Please note, with the exception of "pve_ftp.ps" (which can be obtained by downloading "pve_ftp.ps.Z" and then decompressing it) the other files are quite small (< 1.5megs). If you do not have access to a PostScript printer or previewer, you can download the text files "pve_info.text", "pve_app.text", "pve_scenario.text" and "pve_ftp.tex" (LaTeX file for "pve_ftp.ps").
