Description

This directory contains the fix for APAR IZ09375, which applies to
systems running AIX 6.1.
Under heavy paging activity on POWER 6 systems, an error in the
way page state is managed can occur.  This can result in various
symptoms, including a system crash, or data error.


Prerequisites
-------------
The update requires AIX 6.1 with the 6100-00-01 Service Pack.
The 6100-00-01 Service Pack is available from:

http://www-912.ibm.com/eserver/support/fixes/fixcentral/main/pseries/aix

To determine if the 6100-00-01 Service Pack is installed, use
the command:

  oslevel -s

The output should indicate 6100-00-01-0748.


Installation
------------
- Install service pack 1, if necessary.
  This can be accomplished using "smitty update_all".

- Download U815190.bff in BINARY format to an empty directory.

- Use "smitty update_all" to apply the update.

A system reboot is required after successful installation of
the fix.
