Problem Description

When creating a logical volume with device subtype of DS_LVZ using the
'-TO' flag, lslv reports a DEVICESUBTYPE of DS_LV rather than  DS_LVZ.
whe problem shows up only after a reboot or any subsequent chlv or other
LVM command that can update the VGDA on disk.

This problem can cause some applications, such as Oracle, to fail to
start, or could result in database corruption.


Prerequisites
-------------
Before installing this interim fix package, you must first install
the bos.rte.lvm 5.3.0.54 update.  This update may be obtained from the
AIX 5.3 Specific fix section of:

Installation
------------
Download IY94343.epkg.Z in binary format and use the following command
to install the interim fix:

  emgr -e IY94343.epkg.Z
