This directory contains an interim fix for APAR IY89597 for the
5300-05 Technology Level.


Problem Description
-------------------
Tivoli applications may fail to run after an update to AIX 5.3 TL05.
A common error that occurs is:

FRWSL0024E A failure was detected by the oserv daemon: FRWOG0003E

There is a simultaneous crash of the server when the error is seen.

This problem may exhibit other errors/crashes in other applications.


Prerequisites

bos.rte.libc 5.3.0.50


Installation
------------
Download the IY89597.epkg.Z package in binary format and install
using the following command:

  emgr -e IY89597.epkg.Z

The system must be rebooted, or at a minimum, application restarted
in order for this fix to take effect.
