This directory contains interim fixes and a detection package for APAR
IY64691.  There are 2 interim fix files and 1 detection package:

IY64691_ML4.epkg.Z
  This package applies to bos.lvm.rte 5.2.0.40 through 5.2.0.42 and
  contains the fix for APAR IY64691.  The fix for APAR IY65001 is not
  required at this level.

IY65001.epkg.Z
  This package applies to bos.lvm.rte 5.2.0.50 and contains the fix
  for APAR IY64691 as well as IY65001.

iy64691_pkg.tar.Z
  This package contains a tool to detect Volume Groups damaged by
  IY64691.  A README is included with the tool describing its use.

Problem Description
-------------------
IY64691 - chvg -B can cause volume group corruption or system crash
IY65001 - Possible logical volume corrpuption on mirrored LVs

Installation
------------
- The detection package can simply be unpacked in a convenient
  directory.  See below for the interim fix packages.

- Download the appropriate interim fix package depending upon the level
  of bos.rte.lvm installed.  Ensure that the package is downloaded in
  binary format.  To determine the level of bos.rte.lvm installed on
  your system, use the command:

    lslpp -L bos.rte.lvm

- Use the following command, logged in as root, to install the
  interim fix package.

    emgr -e <pkg_file>

  Where <pkg_file> is the file downloaded in the previous step.

- Reboot your system for the changes to take effect.
