This directory contains fixes made for problems discovered after PRPQ P91183 (AIX 4.3.2 Workstation Support) was made available. These fixes are only applicable to the AIX 4.3.2 Workstation Support PRPQ. A description of each package follows in the "Package Descriptions" section of this document. Downloading Packages -------------------- o FTP the desired tar image in binary format. o Extract the contents into an empty directory, using the following command, where 'filename.tar' is replaced by the name of the image downloaded in the previous step. tar -xvf filename.tar Installing Packages ------------------- o Login as root and run the following command. smit update_all o Specify the directory into which the image was extracted in the "INPUT device / directory for software" field. o Set other installation options as desired (defaults are sufficient) and press ENTER to begin the installation. o In most cases, you'll need to reboot the system for the changes to take effect. Reboot the system using the following command. shutdown -r Package Descriptions -------------------- IY08657.tar Error Description: OpenGL application hangs on GXT3000P. Filesets: U470087 devices.pci.14108e00.rte 4.3.2.7 IY08845.tar Error Description: There was a memory leak in the graphics device driver cursor update code. The device driver kept allocating the pinned kernel space for the cursor glyph but never freed it. This affects the GXT300P and GXT2000P graphics adapters.
